Customizing Your Help Center

Make your help center match your brand.

Appearance Settings

  • Go to Settings > Help Center > Appearance
  • Customize the following options:
  • Header text - The title shown on your help center
  • Welcome message - Subtitle or description
  • Brand colors - Inherited from Brand Profile
  • Click Save changes

Custom Domain

Use your own domain (e.g., help.yourcompany.com):

  • Go to Settings > Help Center > Custom Domain
  • Enter your subdomain (e.g., help.yourcompany.com)
  • Add the CNAME record shown to your DNS settings
  • Click Verify once DNS has propagated

Note: Custom domains require a paid plan.

Help Center URL

Your default help center URL is: https://helpcenter.helplane.com/kb/[your-brand-slug]/hc

With a custom domain, it becomes: https://help.yourcompany.com

Accessing Your Help Center

Customers can access your help center by:

  • Visiting the URL directly
  • Clicking the help link in your chat widget
  • Following links shared in conversations

Viewing Analytics

Track help center performance in Analytics:

  • Article views
  • Search terms
  • Helpful/not helpful ratings
  • Top performing articles
